With over 40 years of legal experience, Edward J. Melia has established himself as a distinguished authority in medical malpractice, healthcare law, and product liability. As a partner at Wise Law Offices LLC, he focuses on complex medical negligence cases, leveraging extensive trial experience in both state and federal courts. Recognized with the 2020 Elite Lawyer Award, Mr. Melia has handled hundreds of medical malpractice lawsuits, earning numerous accolades, including Illinois Super Lawyers (2018–present), Chicago Magazine’s Best Lawyers (2018–2022), and a 5.0 Peer Rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Melia received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and earned his J.D. from Loyola University School of Law in 1981.
