For over forty years handling complex government and commercial transactions, major business disputes and civil litigation in federal and state courts, including administrative proceedings and arbitration; discrimination, employment and pension litigation; business, intellectual property and unfair competition litigation; construction litigation; insurance disputes; labor relations and collective bargaining; and, negotiation of business, insurance and government transactions.

PRIOR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Associate Professor and Adjunct Faculty, Finance Department, Central Connecticut State University, New Britain, Connecticut (1971-1997).
For twenty-five years, teaching law courses focusing on government regulation of business activities, administrative agencies, antitrust, securities and other regulatory activities, as well as corporate finance courses. Previous experience teaching: Law 301, Principles of Law; Law 425, Advanced Law; Law 423, Labor Relations; Fin 300, Managerial Finance; Fin 310, Principles of Investment.

Judge Advocate, Lieutenant Colonel (Retired), Connecticut Army National Guard; Troop Command Judge Advocate (1970-1992).
For over twenty years serving as counsel to Adjutants General and Commanders with regard to military and government contracting, construction projects, environmental issues, interpretation of government regulations, federal and state statutory questions, and federal labor relations matters. Military schooling included graduation from Command and General Staff College, Judge Advocate Generals Advance Course and Engineer Officer Basic, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Initial duty involved service as a Lieutenant in Army Corps of Engineers and as Executive officer of an Engineer Company.

Corporation Counsel, City of New Britain, 1984-90.
Serving as Chief legal officer for City reviewing contracts, project documents, preparation of opinions, and supervising and handling diverse litigation on behalf of City. Acting as Department Head supervising a staff of four full-time lawyers, an investigator and four clerk/secretaries. Providing direction and advice to Mayor and New Britain Common Council.

Special Counsel, City of New Britain, 1975-84.
Advising Mayor and City on various projects and litigation and serving as Chief Labor Negotiator for City, 1975-1976.

Special Counsel, Landmark Center Development Committee, 1988 to 1995. Negotiation of airspace rights with State of Connecticut for construction of platform over Route 72 and all related legal services; negotiation of Memorandum of Understanding with Developer.

Special Counsel/Negotiator, for municipalities over the years, including Berlin, Plainville, Plainfield, Danielson, New Britain, Burlington and Wallingford.
