Elaine Vlahakis was born in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated cum laude from Brooklyn College in 1981 and received her Juris Doctor from New York Law School in 1984.

Ms. Vlahakis began her legal career writing and editing legal treatises for Matthew Bender & Company in New York. Prior to joining Mandelbaum Barrett PC, Ms. Vlahakis had a private law practice located in Stamford, Connecticut. Currently she focuses on matters of residential real estate, condominium law and landlord-tenant law. She is admitted to the Connecticut and New York bars and is a member of the Connecticut, New York and Fairfield County Bar Associations.
