Eleanor H. Sills

Eleanor Sills is a Shareholder in Banker Lopez Gassler P.A.’s Appellate Practice Group, where she guides clients through appeals before Florida’s district courts of appeal and the Florida Supreme Court, while also providing strategic support to trial teams during pretrial and trial proceedings to help preserve issues for appeal. She has handled many appeals in all six of Florida’s district courts, in the Supreme Court of Florida, and before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Eleanor brings a distinctive vantage point to her practice, having served as Staff Attorney to former Florida Supreme Court Justice Ricky L. Polston and as an extern to the First District Court of Appeal. She also spent time as Senior Attorney in the Appellate Division of the Agency for Health Care Administration, handling appellate matters on behalf of the state.

Eleanor earned her J.D., with high honors, from Florida State University College of law, where she served on the Florida State Law Review as the article selection editor and sat as an associate justice on Florida State’s student supreme court. She also holds a B.S., with honors, from Tulane University where she competed as an NCAA division 1 athlete all four years.
