Biography

Elizabeth (“Liz”) E. Georgiopoulos is a member of the Litigation Practice in Greenberg Traurig’s Boston Office. Liz has a broad range of experience litigating high-stakes matters across state and federal courts as well as in domestic and international arbitration forums.

In addition, Liz counsels clients in managing all phases of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model, from early case assessment to production and presentation. She regularly serves as outside eDiscovery counsel for clients in cases involving intricate data issues, ensuring clients remain compliant while maintaining a strong litigation posture.

Beyond her litigation practice, Liz advises clients across industries on cutting-edge information governance issues, including record retention policies, data privacy and cybersecurity compliance, and the ethical deployment of artificial intelligence in the workplace. She has drafted information governance frameworks for organizations ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Liz also has focused experience in HIPAA compliance and has a strong understanding in electronic medical records systems and related data analytics.

With a forward-looking perspective and practical insight, Liz frequently speaks and writes on the ethical use of AI. She is valued by clients not only for her legal acumen but for her ability to guide organizations through the evolving digital risk landscape with clarity and confidence.
