EMILY L. BROOKS is an associate attorney at GIFFORD, DEARING & ABERNATHY, LLP, with a practice focused on trust and estate administration.

Emily earned her J.D. from the Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law where she obtained a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute, the top program of its type in the nation. While at Pepperdine, Emily served as a legal research assistant and volunteered as a law clerk with Union Rescue Mission downtown Los Angeles. Prior to law school, Emily worked as legal secretary in the trusts and estates field, with a focus on probate administration.

Emily earned her B.A. in Political Studies, with an emphasis in Constitutional Law, from The Masters University (Summa Cum Laude). While pursuing her B.A., Emily served as deputy communications director on two congressional campaigns.

Originally from Western Canada, Emily now lives in beautiful Pasadena with her husband.
