Biography

Emily Clites is an Associate in our Pittsburgh office where she focuses on Labor and Employment law, defending public and private employers in discrimination, wrongful termination, and retaliation cases.

Prior to joining Margolis Edelstein, Emily worked for a firm throughout law school where she primarily focused on administrative law and civil litigation. During law school, Emily participated in the Veteran’s Clinic, which provided legal assistance to veterans within the Allegheny County Veterans Court. She was also selected to be a Junior Staff Member for the Energy and Environmental Law Journal in her second year and later served as the journal’s Executive Production Editor during her third year. Additionally, during her third year, Emily was an active participant in the Student Bar Association, serving as a Senator, and held a position as a Teaching Assistant for Business Associations. Emily was also the recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Sales.

Emily graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with Bachelor of Art degrees in Political Science, Communications, and Legal Studies, along with a certificate in Corporate and Community Relations.
