Biography

Emily is a Member in Stoll Keenon Ogden’s Louisville office and has been with the firm since 2014. She is part of the Business Litigation practice group and represents a wide range of companies, from locally owned businesses to Fortune 500 corporations. She also serves businesses in Kentucky through the Construction Law and Tort, Trial & Insurance Services practice groups.

In addition to working with clients through her practice groups, Emily acts as in-house counsel to businesses. In this capacity, she provides guidance on a broad range of matters, including the review of contracts, master service agreements, real estate leases and other legal documentation. From a litigation standpoint, she advises on strategies and addresses human resources and employment-related disputes. She analyzes claims under the ADA and FMLA, and responds to EEOC charges.

Emily’s unique role as an SKO attorney serving clients as in-house counsel has helped her gain valuable insights into the needs and operations of businesses from a variety of industries.

Business Litigation: Emily represents companies large and small, in and outside of the courtroom, across all phases of a conflict. She focuses primarily on cases involving the construction industry, manufacturing defects, product liability and breach of contract/breach of warranty claims.

Construction Law: For homeowners, industry professionals and businesses, Emily expertly addresses an array of general business needs, such as drafting and negotiating contracts. When conflicts arise, she counsels clients tactically through each step of the resolution process, keeping the client’s objectives foremost in her thinking.

Tort, Trial & Insurance Services: Emily handles cases that range from medical and accounting malpractice to insurance coverage disputes. Her experience is comprehensive and includes defense and prosecution of cases.
