Biography

Emmett Seltzer is a partner at Lorber, Greenfield & Olsen, LLP and works out of the San Francisco office. Mr. Seltzer’s practice includes both general liability and construction cases.

Regarding construction, Mr. Seltzer’s practice centers on defense of developers and general contractors in complex civil litigation, construction defect, general liability and insurance defense matters. He has handled cases involving various types of construction including high-end custom homes, mixed used developments, commercial, and tract homes. Mr. Seltzer has personally handled multiple complex construction defect claims through arbitration.

Additionally, Mr. Seltzer also handles personal injury, premises liability, and products liability matters. In 2024, Mr. Seltzer obtained a unanimous defense verdict after an 18-day jury trial in a case involving an alleged hearing loss at a high school event.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Seltzer was a teacher in Southern California. He lives in Alameda with his wife, daughter and son. He enjoys cycling, playing guitar, skiing, surfing, watching baseball, and cooking.
