Eric Christopher Thole

With years of experience on both sides of the courtroom, Attorney Eric Thole offers clients the perspective of a former felony prosecutor and the focus of a dedicated defense lawyer. His early years were shaped by football and academics—he played at NDSU and lettered on the 1985 NCAA Division II National Championship team, then transferred to Macalester College in 1986. There, he played on the winningest football team in school history and was named the top male scholar-athlete in his graduating class. Eric began his legal career at firms representing the Cities of Stillwater and Cottage Grove, then spent eight years as an assistant attorney prosecuting felony cases. In 2005, he opened his own firm and has defended over 2,000 people. He has also served as past President of the Washington County Bar Association. Eric’s community involvement includes serving as a former Stillwater City Councilman and helping found the Stillwater Football and Basketball Booster board.
