Biography

Eric E. Fingerman is a partner with the firm and concentrates his practice in defense of workers’ compensation. He assists William T. Freeman with managing the firm’s workers’ compensation defense practice group.

Mr. Fingerman has represented insurance carriers, county and municipal governments, self-insured employers, third party administrators and multiple school boards in the New Jersey Division of Workers’ Compensation since 2005. He has prepared and argued numerous workers’ compensation matters before the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division.

Mr. Fingerman was selected as a New Jersey “Rising Star” attorney* in the field of Workers Compensation by Super Lawyers Magazine from 2012-2017; a designation limited to no more than 2.5% of Attorneys in the State. He was also named a 2016 Awesome Attorney of South Jersey in the field of Workers Compensation by South Jersey Magazine. Mr. Fingerman is a lecturer in Basic Workers Compensation and Advanced Workers Compensation Issues for both the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education and National Business Institute.

Mr. Fingerman served as Research Editor for the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law from 2001-2002. The Journal is a nationally ranked student-edited publication specializing in corporations and associations and in commercial law, routinely cited by the Delaware Supreme Court and Delaware Court of Chancery. After graduating from law school, he served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Kyran Connor of the Superior Court of New Jersey in Cape May County.
