Eric Demetriades, a native of South Florida, is a dedicated
attorney with a strong background in law and community service. Graduating from
Florida State University with a degree in Political Science and a Master's
Degree in Applied American Politics, he held leadership roles, including
President of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and Executive Vice President of the
Interfraternity Council. After completing his Master's Degree, Eric pursued his
legal education at the University of Richmond School of Law. Actively involved
in various legal boards and organizations, he demonstrated his commitment to
legal excellence.
Upon graduating in 2007, Eric began his legal career at
Steptoe and Johnson before joining Biberaj and Snow P.C., where he handled
diverse cases, ranging from School Disciplinary Appeals to Murder cases. His
exceptional legal acumen was recognized in 2010 when he was named one of
Loudoun County Businesses' Top 30 Under 30 Professionals. In 2013, he
co-founded the law firm Hendrix │ Demetriades, PC, focusing on Criminal
Defense, Family Law, and Juvenile Law. Eric's dedication to the legal
profession led him to become a Co-Founding Partner of the Laurel Brigade Law
Group in 2015.
Acknowledged for his legal skills, Eric has handled
high-profile criminal cases in Loudoun, Clarke, and Fairfax Counties. Beyond
his legal practice, he actively engages with the community, sponsoring blood
drives through INOVA, mentoring at the Leadership in the Law Camp, and
participating in the "Beat the Odds" program, awarding scholarships to
high school seniors involved in the Juvenile Court System. His contributions
have been recognized with various accolades, including being named a Super
Lawyer from 2019 to 2022 and earning the Super Lawyers: Rising Star designation
from 2014 to 2018.
Eric's commitment to the legal community extends to
leadership roles, having served as the President of the Loudoun County Bar
Association and currently holding the position of Loudoun County Circuit Court
Bench/Bar Chair. As a devoted father, Eric resides in Loudoun County with his
daughter, son, and Golden Retriever Samantha.
Throughout his career, Eric has shared his legal knowledge
through presentations on topics such as "Defending Serious Traffic
Cases" and participation in the Bar Leadership Institute Webinar. He has
also contributed to legal education through classes and seminars, including
"School Law" for the National Business Institute and Loudoun County
JDR Court.
In recognition of his outstanding achievements, Eric has
received honors such as the Loudoun Times Mirror Top 40 Under 40 (2017) and the
Loudoun Business Top 30 Under 30 Young Professionals (2010). His commitment to
pro bono activities is evident through his mentorship at the Law Camp and
