Eric L. Combs is a Director at Lytle Soulé & Felty,P.C. Mr. Combs is a trial lawyer with an emphasis in the practice areas of commercial and general civil litigation, oil and gas law, contractual disputes, business formation and management, intellectual property litigation, medical litigation, injunctions and temporary restraining orders, insurance and injury litigation, and many others. Mr. Combs has been recognized by his peers in U.S. News and World Report in its “Best Lawyers - Ones to Watch” list in the areas of commercial litigation and oil & gas litigation. He has also been recognized by Thomson Reuters in Oklahoma SuperLawyers Magazine as a “Rising Star” in the field of Civil Litigation – Defense.

Mr. Combs has a notable track record of achieving great outcomes for his clients in front of mediators, arbitrators, judges and juries. He prioritizes communication, organization and cost effectiveness at all phases of a legal matter, including before a case is ever filed. Some highlights of Mr. Combs’ experience include:

• Obtained a directed verdict for the defense as lead trial attorney in a copyright lawsuit filed in the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma.

• Obtained administrative revocation of electronic billboard permit on behalf of Oklahoma City non-profit medical provider, after filing and hearing on a motion for injunction against an advertising company.

• Achieved dismissal of local hospital from medical malpractice lawsuit upon showing of intervening causation of alleged injuries.

• Obtained judicial dismissal of medical staffing agency upon filing of motion to dismiss on the basis of statute of limitations.

• Achieved dismissal of putative class action against local hospital system after obtaining multiple partial summary judgment rulings.

Mr. Combs enjoys being an active member of his community. He serves as Director of the Pirate Football Foundation, a local non-profit geared toward support of Putnam City High School athletics. He also serves as a volunteer assistant football coach for the school.

His prior experience includes a tenure at an Am Law 200 law firm with nearly 20 offices across the United States. Mr. Combs began his career at a renowned civil litigation firm in Oklahoma City. Prior to entering the legal field, Mr. Combs worked in collegiate athletics compliance at the University of Central Oklahoma and Missouri Southern State University. He also worked in broadcasting with several local and national entities, including ESPN, NFL Films, and KFOR.
