Biography

Eric focuses his practice in the areas of municipal and private sector law with an emphasis on real estate development, zoning, and land use, construction, contracts, public and private finance, environment, government grant assistance, and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining Eckberg Lammers, Eric served 15 years as the general counsel for the Saint Paul Port Authority. He was the lead senior counsel on many of the City’s iconic major redevelopments such as:

120-acre Ford Plant redevelopment (“Highland Bridge”)

Allianz Field (Minnesota United FC), CHS Field (Saint Paul Saints)

112-acre former Hillcrest Golf Course (mixed use redevelopment, known as “The Heights”), and

46-acre former 3M site (commercial, industrial redevelopment, known as “Beacon Bluff”).

In his spare time, Eric enjoys the outdoors, cooking, reading books on history, and most importantly spending time with his wife and daughter, including Biscuit, their miniature wired-hair dachshund.
