Erik Payne Clifton

Erik Payne Clifton is an associate in Banker Lopez Gassler’s Aviation and Product Liability practice groups. Erik assists clients with all types of civil defense involving product defects, catastrophic injury, and aviation matters. He also has experience working with clients in the maritime industry.

Erik received his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law, where he was the president of the Student Bar Association, an editor on the Law & Psychology Journal, a member of the Moot Court Board, and a semi-finalist at the National Environmental Moot Court Competition. While in law school, he interned for the Honorable Chief Judge L. Scott Coogler of the Northern District of Alabama. At graduation, he was honored with the opportunity to be one of two student speakers.

As a third-generation Floridian, Erik is glad to be back home in sunny Florida. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, running, and spending time with his family.
