Biography

A partner at HPM&B, Erin K. Kelley joined the firm in 2005. She represents physician and hospital clients in all aspects of the defense of medical malpractice cases. Erin’s responsibilities range from case inception to trial, including reviewing and responding to initial pleadings, attending various Court conferences, deposing plaintiffs and non-party witnesses, and representing physicians and nurses at depositions. Notably, on behalf of individual physicians as well as institutional defendants, she has drafted and argued numerous motions leading to the dismissal of a number of high exposure cases. In addition, Erin has been an integral member of several trial teams, working hand-in-hand with trial counsel from initial trial preparation through verdict. Many of these cases have resulted in defense verdicts or other successful resolutions.

An avid spinner in her free time, Erin was part of the HPM&B spin team that participated in Memorial Sloan Kettering’s fundraiser for cancer research.

Prior to joining the firm, she practiced at a mid-sized litigation firm in New York City.
