Faye M. Lyon, a native of Rockford and a lifelong resident, boasts a
legal career spanning back to 1987. Throughout her extensive tenure,
she has become a distinguished practitioner with a dedicated focus on
family law. Her experience encompasses a broad spectrum, including
dissolution of marriage or divorce proceedings, allocation of
parental responsibilities, child support, paternity, wills, trusts,
probate, guardianships, and real estate matters.
A prominent
figure within the legal community, Attorney Lyon holds memberships in
key professional associations, including the Illinois State Bar
Association, Winnebago County Bar Association, and the Women’s Bar
Association. Her commitment to these organizations is underscored by
her notable service as the President of the Women’s Bar Association
from 1991 to 1993.
Within the
Winnebago County Bar Association, Attorney Lyon actively participates
in various sections, assuming roles such as Chairman of the
Facilitation Committee in the Family Law Section. Her engagement
extends to other sections, including Children’s Advocacy, Estate,
and Real Estate.

Committee for the United States Civil Rights Commission, a position
