Biography

Frank A. Malocu earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Dayton School of Law in 1991, where he received the American Jurisprudence Award for the highest grade in Insurance Law. Licensed to practice in Ohio that same year, he opened a private law office across from the Montgomery County courts in Dayton—his base for over 33 years. From 1992 to 2000, Frank served as Magistrate for the Honorable Judge George Gounaris in the Common Pleas Court. Concentrating on divorce, criminal defense, OVI/DUI, traffic law, and personal injury, he built a reputation for skill and compassion. His honors include the Montgomery County Appointed Counsel Award, the National Academy of Criminal Defense Attorneys’ Top 10 Attorney Award, and invitations to the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 and Ohio Super Lawyers. Rated “Distinguished” by Martindale-Hubbell, “Superb” by Avvo, and A+ by the Better Business Bureau, he has argued precedent-setting cases before the Ohio Supreme Court.
