Biography

Fred Schenk is a distinguished partner at The Schenk Law Firm, boasting more than 46 years of experience as a plaintiff trial lawyer. Renowned for securing multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements in asbestos litigation, wrongful death, products liability and automobile collision cases, Fred’s legal prowess has been consistently recognized by Best Lawyers, Lawdragon’s 500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers and Super Lawyers. His specialization spans asbestos, mesothelioma, catastrophic injuries, and new frontiers like social media addiction and underage gambling addiction litigation. Notably, Fred authored the LexisNexis California Automotive Litigation Handbook and achieved the largest asbestos punitive damages verdict in San Diego history. In 2023, Fred was appointed to the plaintiffs’ steering committee in a high-stakes lawsuit against prominent social media companies. Beyond the courtroom, he twice served as president of the 22nd District Agricultural Association’s Board of Directors. With a commitment to community, Fred has a rich history of leadership and pro bono work, notably aiding a 9/11 victim’s family without compensation. Fred holds honors like the Hall of Fame induction by Lawdragon and has been a mainstay on the Best Lawyers in America list. Deeply involved in the legal community, he enjoys downtime with family, Padres Baseball, and pickleball.
