Biography

Attorney G. Todd Houck is engaged in the general practice of law throughout southern West Virginia. Mr. Houck is a former prosecutor and has represented clients at all levels of litigation – from State Magistrate Court to the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Houck has handled a variety of cases relating to motor vehicle and industrial accidents, criminal defense, wills and estates, real estate closings, family law, and complex business litigation.

Mr. Houck has also devoted much of his practice to representing disabled workers in social security disability claims and federal black lung actions. In fact, Mr. Houck successfully represented a coal miner’s widow in a federal black lung survivor’s action before the U.S. Supreme Court. Recently, Mr. Houck has collected damages for coal miners suffering lung diseases caused by defective respirators and filters.
