T. Gabe Houston became a partner at our personal injury law firm in 2024, after running a bi-coastal law firm where he was frequently hired as a last-minute trial counsel. Gabe’s trial experience primarily includes cases involving medical malpractice, catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, and product liability. He brings his experience holding negligent corporations, healthcare providers and facilities accountable through spearheading our nursing home abuse and long-term care department. Gabe seeks justice for victims and their families for negligent treatment by hospitals, assisted living facilities and nursing homes, as well as insurance companies and large corporations who produce defective products. Gabe is also a commercial pilot and litigates aviation related cases. Gabe has been credited with two published appellate opinions and has been awarded punitive damages by three separate juries. He strives to help those who have been injured through no fault of their own.
Gabe has achieved a number of legal distinctions during his career. He has been recognized as one of the Top 100 attorneys in the State of California and “Best Lawyer” in the state of Florida. He has been awarded the honor of “Super Lawyers” and is a member of the prestigious “Million Dollar Advocates Forum”—an award that is bestowed upon less than one percent of all lawyers in the United States. In 2023 he was lead trial counsel in a product defect case against Suzuki Motor Corporation where he obtained a $161,000,000 verdict. This landmark verdict was the third largest in the state of California and the fifth largest “automotive” verdict in the United States that year.
T. Gabe Houston received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley and earned his J.D. from Chapman University Fowler School of Law in Orange, California. Gabe is a graduate of the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College and regularly spends time working with other trial lawyers in local working groups in California and Florida, working on story development, jury selection, witness preparation, opening statements, and closing arguments. Gabe founded “The Trial Lab” a bi-coastal law consultancy where lawyers practice their craft in preparation for trial and receive real-time feedback from their colleagues.
Mr. Houston is admitted to practice in Florida and California. He is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Florida Justice Association, the Martin County Bar Association, the Palm Beach County Justice Association, Consumer Attorneys of California, and the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association, where he served on the board of directors for 8 years and was a former executive committee member.
Gabe resides in Stuart with his wife and two children, never far away from blue water and decent east coast surf. He is also a private and commercial rated fixed-wing and helicopter pilot. Gabe urges anyone injured through no fault of their own to reach out for help, and encourages other lawyers to participate in local working group sessions to better understand their cases and their clients.
