Biography

Gabriela 'Gaby' Lastra is an Associate in the firm’s Miami office, where she focuses her practice on premises liability matters.

Ms. Lastra earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Florida International University and her Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University Benjamin L. Crump College of Law. While in law school, she was a competing member of the Mock Trial Team and a National Semifinalist at the 2025 Online National Championship. She also served as Vice President of Phi Alpha Delta from 2024 to 2025.

Before joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Ms. Lastra gained experience in immigration law, concentrating on business and employment visas as well as visas for individuals of extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, and athletics. She also clerked at a firm specializing in probate, wills, and estates during her 3L year.

Born in Havana, Cuba, and raised in Texas and South Florida, Ms. Lastra brings a diverse background and a strong commitment to client service.

Outside of her legal career, she enjoys reading and beach days with her family.
