Biography

As a founding partner of Bochetto & Lentz, Gavin’s practice focuses on complex commercial business litigation, partnership disputes, law firm breakups, intellectual property disputes, trademark and copyright infringement claims, white collar criminal defense, professional negligence claims, and medical malpractice.

Clients credit Gavin with having a strong focus on understanding what constitutes a “win” for his clients and then relentlessly pursuing that end goal with the most straightforward and efficient path possible.

His background and case history are incredibly diverse, and Gavin is skilled at bringing what would seem like disparate mix of experiences together to creatively problem solve for his clients.

He has served as Judge Pro Tem in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, is a former Assistant District Attorney prosecuting felony cases and complex criminal schemes, is a current member of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey Bar Associations, and has been admitted to multiple Courts in the United States to handle complex cases including the District Courts in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Wisconsin, Missouri, Tennessee, and North Carolina, the Federal Circuit Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.

When Gavin isn’t fighting for his clients, he regularly serves as an arbitrator and mediator in complex civil cases and volunteers for the Philadelphia Clinic for Disabled Persons, assisting in representing clients with disabilities free of charge. He is also a volunteer trial attorney for Law Day for Children, presenting Mock Trials for Schools in Philadelphia, and is on the fundraising committee for Annual Academy Ball to benefit the arts in Philadelphia.

Outside of using his legal talents, Gavin lives in Philadelphia with his family, teaching his 4 children bow hunting, surfing, and fishing.
