Biography

Geoff Pope is a nationally recognized trial attorney with over 30 years of experience in medical negligence and catastrophic personal injury cases. Since earning his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1993, Geoff has devoted his career to fighting for individuals and families harmed by the wrongful actions of others. Early Career and Defense Experience

Geoff began his legal career defending healthcare providers, product manufacturers, insurance companies, and large corporations. This experience gave him a real look into the defense strategies used by powerful institutions, experience he now uses to advocate effectively for his clients. Transition to Plaintiff Representation

In 2000, Geoff shifted his focus to representing plaintiffs exclusively. His deep understanding of both sides of litigation allows him to anticipate and counter defense tactics with precision, resulting in favorable outcomes for the people he represents.

Community Involvement

Geoff is committed to giving back and volunteers his time representing truant high school students in Atlanta. His goal is to create positive outcomes for young people who need a second chance. Personal Philosophy

Outside of Pope & Howard P.C., Mr. Pope has served as an adjunct professor of litigation at the Emory University Law School, regularly lectures on a variety of topics at seminars for attorneys, and is frequently asked to testify before various committees of the Georgia General Assembly on legal matters. He also volunteers with the Truancy Intervention Project, where he provides free representation to truant high school students in Atlanta.
