Biography

San Francisco native Gerald E. Brunn holds Martindale-Hubbell's AV-Preeminent rating, exemplifying a lawyer who has reached "the height of professional excellence...and the highest levels of skill and integrity."

Mr. Brunn was awarded a four year scholarship by the United States Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps to the University of San Francisco. He is a lifetime member of the Jesuit Honor Society, Alpha Sigma Nu, and the National Society of Scabbard and Blade.

Mr. Brunn has served as a Special Master for the State Bar of California and as an adjunct professor at Chapman University. He has taught Employment and Labor Law, Constitutional Law, Legal History, and Political Science. Mr. Brunn received mediation training from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law and serves on the Mediation and Arbitration Panels of Superior Courts throughout Northern California.

Mr. Brunn retired as a Colonel from the United States Army Reserve after thirty-three years of service. His assignments included Associate Professor in the Department of Law at the United States Military Academy, West Point. He has also served as Dean of the Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School; Staff Judge Advocate and Chief of International Law for United States Army Japan; and Deputy Command Judge Advocate for the United States Army Medical Research and Development Command. Mr. Brunn's military education includes the United States Army Judge Advocate General's Basic and Advanced Courses, the United States Army Command and General Staff College, and the United States Army War College.
