Gina H. Kim is an attorney in the Tax, Trust, and Estates
Department of Brown & Streza, LLP, where her practice focuses on estate
planning for individuals, families, and business owners. She helps navigate clients through complex
estate planning strategies while helping them achieve their goals of tax
savings and maintaining family harmony. Gina’s practice also includes advising
trustees and other fiduciaries in trust and estate administration.
Prior to joining Brown & Streza, Gina advised high
net worth individuals and families in estate planning and also represented
corporate and private fiduciaries in both contested and uncontested matters. Gina’s
prior litigation experience in the areas of trust and probate administration,
conservatorships, and guardianships have enabled her to effectively advise
fiduciaries to ensure they are in proper compliance with their fiduciary
responsibilities, as well as to draft estate plans highly customized to tailor
each client’s unique needs and goals, with an emphasis on reducing the risk of
future litigation.
She is passionate about serving the needs of her clients,
which is exemplified by her active pro bono work in the Orange County legal
community. Gina was also actively involved with the Orange County Korean
American Bar Association (OCKABA), previously serving on the Board of Directors
from 2012-2017 and as Secretary from 2012-2016.
Gina earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University
of Colorado Law School in Boulder, Colorado, where she received a merit-based
scholarship, was involved with the Center for Energy and Environmental
Security, and worked as a Research Assistant. During her third year of law
school, Gina was selected to serve as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable
Steven Bernard at the Colorado Courts of Appeals in Denver. Gina earned her
Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of California, Los
Angeles, where she graduated with Dean’s Honors.
Gina is fluent in Korean. In her spare time, she enjoys spending
quality time with family and friends, watching sports, and playing games.
