Biography

Gino A. Zonghetti is a 1985 graduate of the Catholic University Law School in Washington, D.C. Mr. Zonghetti received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Franklin & Marshall College in 1982. From 1985 through 1989, Mr. Zonghetti served as an assistant district attorney in the Manhattan district attorney’s office, working in both the appellate and trial bureaus. From 1989 through 1991, Mr. Zonghetti practiced with a major Wall Street law firm where he specialized in defending corporations in professional liability actions.

Mr. Zonghetti concentrates his practice in the defense and counseling of clients in maritime litigation, general liability matters, including personal injury defense, employment practices liability law suits, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority arbitrations, directors’ and officers’ liability and miscellaneous professional liability actions including claims against architects, engineers, accountants, mortgage bankers, realtors, teachers, health care providers and others. Mr. Zonghetti has significant experience in defending not-for-profit corporations against a variety of claims ranging from general liability claims to employment matters. He also has significant experience representing clients involved in governmental investigations, as well as defending against claims brought under the New York State Labor Law, sections 240 and 241.

Mr. Zonghetti engages in an active trial and appellate practice in New York and New Jersey and has been appointed as panel counsel for several major insurance companies. He has tried numerous cases to verdict in New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts, as well as in United States District Courts in New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts.

Mr. Zonghetti is an accomplished appellate attorney, having briefed and argued numerous cases in the Appellate Division, First and Second Department and the First and Second Circuit Courts of Appeals. He is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, the District of Columbia and Massachusetts. Mr. Zonghetti has tried scores of cases to verdict in the state and federal courts of New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts.
