Glenn Klausman started out after law school as an Assistant Public Defender in Sanford and Orlando, spending the next five years in court nearly every week. That experience taught him how to try cases, speak to juries, and communicate effectively, skills that shape the best trial lawyers. During a break one day in the courthouse, Glenn wandered into a courtroom across the hall and found himself watching a car crash injury trial. A young woman walked to the witness box with a limp and a cane. The insurance company’s lawyer questioned her in a way that felt unnecessarily aggressive, and it stopped him in his tracks. Glenn had worked around victims in criminal court, but had never seen someone treated like that in a civil courtroom. He had to leave for his hearing, but came back as soon as it was over. He watched the defense call a doctor paid by the insurer to claim the woman was exaggerating. Then her lawyer dismantled that testimony on cross, exposing the doctor’s bias. In that moment, Glenn knew his future was fighting for injured people.
