Biography

Hal Stevens, always working for the edge, is one of the few attorneys to achieve a Masters of Law in Corporate Law. He is a member of the American Bar and Vermont Bar Associations and the Central Vermont Inns at Court. He is admitted to the Connecticut and Vermont State and U.S. District Courts, as well as Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Hal moved to Stowe, Vermont, from Connecticut with his wife Carol in 1980, founded Stevens Law Office, and never looked back. Over the past thirty years, Hal has compiled an impressive record representing a diverse group of individuals and businesses in north central Vermont. He has been involved in a number of complex lawsuits concerning business, real estate, family law and criminal cases, finding success in both state and federal court. He is also admitted in Connecticut.

Hal has a solid base of knowledge in nearly all aspects of resort and residential development, as well as financing. He has been involved in many large commercial real estate development transactions and cases, as well as numerous zoning board and court actions concerning development, foreclosure, and permitting. He has extensive litigation experience in business dissolutions, nuisance law and personal injury, and is well versed in financial and estate planning.
