Biography

Heather is a dynamic leader and seasoned litigator at Meagher + Geer, where she chairs the Products Liability, Mass Tort/Toxic Tort, Asbestos/Talc, and Safety and Environmental practice groups. As a member of the firm’s Management Committee, Heather brings strategic vision and a wealth of experience to her role.

Heather focuses her trials and litigation practice on the following types of matters:

•Products Liability
•Mass Toxic Torts
•Personal Injury
•PFAS
•Asbestos
•Mold
•Talc
•General Liability
•Construction Defect
•Subrogation Defense

The emphasis of her products liability and mass toxic tort cases involve high-risk cases in Minnesota, North Dakota, Arizona, Wisconsin, Delaware, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Montana, and South Dakota.

Licensed in eight states, Heather has a proven track record of defending manufacturers, distributors, fabricators, suppliers, and contractors in complex cases across the country. She serves as national counsel for several major clients, including a refractory contractor, door manufacturer, lab equipment supplier, and gasket supplier. She has also defended, at a national level, a large roofing and siding company and valve manufacturer.

Heather also works on matters involving large property damage, large construction defects, and general products liability claims, including the defense of personal injury, PFAS, and subrogation matters. She represents manufacturers, suppliers, and contractors in commercial and residential cases, general liability, general civil litigation, and appeals.

Before joining Meagher + Geer, Heather was a partner at a nationwide firm, where she managed its Minnesota Mass Toxic Torts Group. She also clerked for the Honorable Gordon W. Shumaker at the Minnesota Court of Appeals, gaining invaluable experience in both criminal and civil law.

Outside of the profession, Heather also enjoys spending time with her family, friends and dog, Phoenix; golfing; boating; exercising; traveling; cooking; serving as a Superfan of her children’s sports teams at Holy Family High School and Mayville State University; and supporting the alumnae of her alma mater, St. Ben’s.
