Heather Nichole Phillips

Heather Phillips is a Partner at Thompson & Belnap and a California attorney whose practice focuses on civil litigation, probate and trust matters, real estate disputes, and other complex contested matters in state and federal court.

Heather represents individuals, families, businesses, and property owners in matters involving contract and business disputes, real property litigation, probate and trust litigation and administration, conservatorships, landlord-tenant disputes, restrianing orders, family court proceedings, bankruptcy, and appeals. Her experience spans all stages of litigation, from early case evaluation and discovery through mediation, trial, post-judgment proceedings, and appeal.

Heather’s approach is especially well suited to matters involving complicated facts, competing legal issues, or problems that do not fit neatly into a single area of law. She focuses on identifying the issues that matter most, understanding what the client ultimately wants to accomplish, and developing a practical strategy for getting there. Heather was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2019, and is admitted to practice in the Southern District Court, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as the California Southern and Central District Bankruptcy Courts.
