Biography

Ms. Kaplan was born in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from Hofstra University School of Law in 2002 and was admitted to practice law in the State of New York in 2003.   Ms. Kaplan is an accomplished litigator and has achieved excellent results at the Workers’ Compensation Board, New York Supreme Court and at the Appellate Courts.  Ms. Kaplan taught college and graduate level classes at Cornell University Satellite School and at Long Island University for a total of ten years. She taught Employment Law and Discrimination, Business Ethics and Labor, Unions & Employment Relations.    Heather Kaplan is also admitted to the United States District Court, Southern District. She is also a member of the New York Insured Workers’ Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the New York Injured Workers' Bar Association. Ms. Kaplan currently resides on Long Island with her family.
