Heidi Harris joins MSSG as partner after more than twenty-five years with one of Manhattan’s most elite matrimonial and family law firms. She represents clients in a wide variety of complex matrimonial matters involving equitable distribution and custody disputes, child and spousal support, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and appeals. A skilled negotiator of settlement agreements, Heidi is also proficient in all aspects of litigation and has tried cases in both Supreme and Family Court. Her nearly three decades as a matrimonial practitioner have provided her with the experience and insight to understand there is no “one size fits all” approach to divorce and that each client’s story is their own.
Heidi is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, New York Chapter (New York Chapter Board of Managers 2011-2017; 2019-2021; Vice President, New York Chapter, 2014-2016), a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, and a member of the American Bar Association (Family Law Section), the New York State Bar Association (Family Law Section) and the New York City Bar Association. Since 2009, she has been selected to the Super Lawyers list, and has had the distinction of being named among the Top 50 Women Lawyers in New York City in 2011 and 2012.
Heidi has lectured on the subject of matrimonial law for the New York State Bar Association, the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (New York Chapter), the American Society of Appraisers (New York Chapter), and InMotion, where she has served as a mentor.
