Helen Jacqueline Setton

Helen Setton is a personal injury attorney whose advocacy skills and passion set her apart from the rest. Helen focuses her practice on construction and workplace accident cases in New York and New Jersey. She has particular expertise in the Labor Law of the State of New York and in the New York Industrial Code which are designed to protect workers from the various types of accidents they face at most commercial construction sites in New York City.Helen graduated from New York University and subsequently attended Brooklyn Law School where she graduated Cum Laude. Steinhardt of the Kings County Supreme Court. She continued to amass a broad base of legal knowledge and training through various other internships including internships at the General Counsel's office for the New York City Department of Transportation as well as the Law Department for the United States Postal Service. Not wanting to limit herself and her knowledge to the public sector, Helen also gained extensive experience in the private insurance defense field through her internship at Harris, King & Fodera. This provided Helen with unique insight into the defense of personal injury cases which she is able to successfully apply in her representation of injured parties.Following her graduation from law school, Helen did a fellowship for the New York City Transit Authority where she once again expanded on her knowledge regarding the inner workings of this municipal entity and how municipal entities defend claims and law suits. Upon completion of this fellowship, Helen further enhanced her background and knowledge, this time in the field of medical malpractice defense, through her position at the medical malpractice defense firm of Morelli, Gerard & LaSalle.Armed with this intimate knowledge and background concerning the defense of New York personal injury matters, Helen turned her attention to helping those individuals injured through the negligence of others. This experience in the Court system and with various defense counsels enables Helen to possess a unique perspective on how cases are defended and evaluated.
