Howard serves as Editor of the Franchise Law Section of the Washington Lawyers Practice Manual, and also authored "The Unintentional Franchise", Washington State Bar News, March, 2003. He has discussed franchise law issues as a guest on local radio and television. He is also a member of the American Bar Association (Litigation Section and Forum on Franchising), the American Franchisee Association, and the King County Bar Association. In his spare time he serves as a volunteer basketball coach for the Seattle Parks Department.
