Biography

Howard Lawrence Scholl is a Partner in the firm’s Tampa office and an experienced trial lawyer. He handles cases involving personal injury, wrongful death, nursing home neglect, trucking defense, hospitality industry defense, medical malpractice, contract disputes including insurance claims, construction defect claims, SIU fraud investigations as well as other general liability issues and claims for professional malpractice.

Mr. Scholl is a native Floridian and graduated from the University of Florida, with honors, in 1998 majoring in both Finance and Risk Management. After leaving the University of Florida, he served in the office of Budget Management for the Miami Dade County School Board, attended law school at Florida State University College of Law in Tallahassee, and earned his Juris Doctor in 2003. While in law school, Mr. Scholl served in the office of the State Attorney for the 2nd Judicial Circuit in Jefferson County, FL, as a certified intern, prosecuting various misdemeanors. Mr. Scholl began his legal career at a firm in St. Petersburg, FL that specialized in bad faith claims handling disputes, and other general litigation matters, and joined Cole, Scott & Kissane in 2006.

Mr. Scholl is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), which is an invitation-only national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges.
