Biography

Ian is an Associate in Farris’ Corporate & Commercial Group. He maintains a broad practice, including mergers and acquisitions, securities law, corporate finance, and general corporate and commercial matters.

Ian earned his Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University’s Faculty of Law. Ian joined Farris as a summer student in 2023 and completed his articles with the firm in 2025.

Prior to law school, Ian received a Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University, majoring in Sociology and minoring in Political Studies. After this, he worked at a not-for-profit in Vancouver that provides a meal delivery service to people living with HIV and, at the time, provided food provisions to people in COVID-19 isolation.

In his spare time, Ian enjoys getting outside and being active if the weather permits. If it does not, he can often be found inside watching a movie or a Canucks game.
