Biography

Isabel Triana focuses her practice on intellectual property and trademark matters, including trademark prosecution, litigation, licensing, and portfolio management. Isabel also assists with intellectual property transactions involving trademark and copyright licenses, technology licenses, database rights, intellectual property due diligence and audits, domain name transfers and eCommerce agreements. In addition, she provides support on brand management issues, assists clients in securing trademark registrations in the U.S. and throughout the world, and helps companies strategize to protect, enforce and maintain the value of their trademarks. Isabel is experienced in all facets of trademark portfolio management, including trademark clearance, registration, maintenance, protection, enforcement, licensing and litigation, and she has managed a number of large international trademark portfolios on behalf of major multinational companies.

Isabel also has experience drafting, negotiating and reviewing commercial contracts, including licensing, maintenance and technology services agreements, as well as other legal and business documents. She is also experienced with corporate matters in Latin America, FCPA, UK Bribery Act, and advising Latin American sovereign clients on issues regarding automatic exchange of information and Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) issues. Additionally, she helps clients with the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, also known as CITES. Isabel’s CITES experience includes issues related to permitting for the importation and exportation of endangered species of animals and plants.
