Biography

Ivy is an attorney in the firm’s Employment practice group where she represents and advises employers in a wide range of employment law matters. Her practice includes both general counseling and litigation, partnering with public and private employers across industries to navigate workplace compliance, risk management, internal investigations, and complex employment disputes. She also assists the firm’s Real Estate practice group.Ivy provides practical guidance designed to minimize risk while supporting organizational goals. She brings experience and strategic insight to matters at all stages of the compliance and dispute process-from proactive risk prevention and early case assessment to efficient resolution and litigation through discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. She is known for her thoughtful, thorough, and holistic approach, strong analytical skills, and commitment to delivering clear, sound advice.Prior to joining Meagher + Geer, Ivy practiced at a nationally recognized plaintiff-side civil litigation firm, where she managed and litigated a high-volume caseload of consumer protection cases in federal district courts and arbitration tribunals nationwide. She also gained experience with a leading employment and civil rights firm and held legal counsel and advisory roles with the Minnesota State Legislature. In addition, she has provided legal services to individual clients through Tubman, a nonprofit serving survivors of domestic violence.Ivy earned her J.D., with honors, from the University of Minnesota Law School, where she was consistently recognized for academic excellence, including earning Book Awards in Constitutional Law and Education Law and Policy, the Best Oralist Award, and recognition for Outstanding Performance in Law in Practice, as well as making the “A” Dean’s List all semesters. She served on the Journal of Law & Inequality and was a Certified Student Attorney with the Community Legal Partnership for Health Clinic.She also holds a graduate degree in Public Policy from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs and earned her B.A. from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
