Biography

J. Brent Barnaky was born in Hamilton, Ohio in 1975 and graduated from Clearwater High School in Clearwater, Florida. Subsequently, Brent attended the University of Central Florida and attained his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Thereafter, he received his Juris Doctorate from Nova Southern University Shepard Broad College of Law and was subsequently admitted to the Florida Bar in 2002. He has been admitted to practice before the Middle District of Florida, United States Circuit Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit, and the United States Tax Court.

Brent also enjoys memberships with The Florida Bar and The Clearwater Bar, respectively. Mr. Barnaky’s practice includes all aspects of civil litigation with concentration in the areas of family law and personal injury. He also accepts cases in the areas of commercial litigation, and estate planning/probate.

Mr. Barnaky is one of approximately 70 people in the entire world to officiate games for the National Basketball Association (NBA).

In his free time, he enjoys volunteering and coaches Little League baseball. He also frequently guest lectures to aspiring basketball officials to give back to the officiating community and the game of basketball.
