Jack was born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, on October 18,
1967. He graduated from Hopkinsville High School in 1986 and earned his
Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Finance magna cum laude from Transylvania
University in 1990. In 1993, Jack received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from
Vanderbilt University School of Law and was admitted to the Kentucky Bar the
same year. He is also licensed to practice in the United States District Court
for the Western District of Kentucky and the United States Court of Appeals for
the Sixth Circuit.
Jack is an active member of several professional
organizations, including the Christian County Bar Association, where he has
served as past president, and the Kentucky Bar Association, where he is involved
with the Ethics Committee. He also represents the Kentucky Bar Association’s
Interest on Lawyer Trust Accounts Trust Fund.
Focusing his practice on education law, municipal law,
estate planning, and civil litigation, Jack frequently represents school districts
and educators. He is an engaged community member, serving at St. John United
Methodist Church and on the Board of Directors for Sanctuary, Inc. Jack is
married to Jacwyn Lackey, and they have two children, Sarah and Joe.
