She received a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from Boston University in 2003, and achieved her Juris Doctorate from New York Law School in 2006, where she was a member of both the Law Review and the Harlan Scholars Honors Program. Trained in investigation and fraud detection, Jackie Halpern Weinstein represents leading lenders in defending their priority lien positions against title defects. Her title insurance defense work covers a substantial breadth, ranging from lien priority disputes, boundary discrepancies, and non-recordation defects to mortgage fraud, mortgage rescue schemes, and forgeries. Jackie Halpern Weinstein also has experience with commencing and defending nonrenewal and demolition proceedings with the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal, and her knowledge and training with respect to New York City's rent regulations have contributed to several victorious and favorable settlements in this realm.
