Jacob Edward Potratz

Jacob Potratz was born and raised in Minnesota. He attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, along with a certificate in Criminal Justice. Jake returned to the Twin Cities to pursue his legal education, earning his Juris Doctor from the University of St. Thomas School of Law.After law school, Jake completed a fellowship with the Ronald M. Mankoff Tax Clinic at the University of Minnesota Law School, where he represented individuals in disputes with the IRS. Prior to joining Fields Law, Jake worked in tax compliance for a large corporation’s tax and accounting department.Mr. Potratz is admitted to practice in Minnesota state courts. He is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Hennepin County Bar Association.In his free time, Jake enjoys cheering on the Packers and Badgers, spending time with family and friends, reading, and being outdoors with his dog, Tully.
