Biography

Jacob is an associate in the firm’s Corporate practice group. His practice is focused on corporate transactions, private securities offerings, and business law. He regularly represents private companies in corporate governance matters, M&A, corporate reorganizations, federal and state securities law filings. Jacob also advises on compliance with data privacy laws, including The General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), and drafts online privacy policies and terms of use. His client base covers a wide range of industries and areas including professional services, high technology, arts and entertainment, healthcare, manufacturing, start-ups and entrepreneurs.

Before joining the firm, Jacob was a summer associate at Meister, Seelig & Fein LLP and worked as a project assistant in Sidley Austin LLP’s Securities and Derivatives Enforcement and Regulatory practice.

Jacob received his B.A. and B.S. cum laude from Tulane University in 2015 and his J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 2020. Jacob served as the Executive Administrative Editor for Emory International Law Review, Volume 34 where his article on central bank digital currency (“The IMF Must Develop Best Practices Before Government-Backed Cryptocurrencies Destabilize the International Monetary System”) was published. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar, Illinois Bar, and New York Bar.
