Biography

Jacob Bradford litigates for governmental entities in cases that seek to improve public health and safety.

Jacob is a part of Motley Rice’s team that represents dozens of governmental entities, including states, cities, towns, counties, and townships in litigation against several pharmaceutical drug manufacturers, distributors, and pharmacies for the alleged deceptive marketing of highly addictive opioids. He also litigates for public clients who allege Meta and other social media companies failed to prevent underage children from being exposed to predators on their platforms. Additionally, Jacob was a part of the team representing the U.S. Virgin Islands in litigation against JPMorgan Chase and other parties accused of enabling sex trafficking at Jeffrey Epstein’s private estate by failing to flag suspicious financial transactions.

Prior to his work with Motley Rice Jacob was an associate attorney and paralegal with a civil and family litigation firm in Columbia, SC. He also worked as a paralegal and law clerk with a personal injury firm during law school. He interned with the City of Charleston Legal Department assisting with research of city ordinances and drafting contracts.
