Jacqueline W. Merritt

Jacquie Merritt is a Social Security Disability Hearing Attorney at Shook & Stone and has spent more than 22 years handling disability cases before the Social Security Administration. Ms. Merritt has been licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania since 1998 and has assisted thousands of disabled individuals obtain their disability benefits.

Ms. Merrit is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Representatives and the Sacramento Organization of Social Security Representatives.

Ms. Merritt’s personal expertise is representation of disabled individuals before the Social Security Office of Hearings operations. She has successfully obtained SS Disability and Supplemental Security In come benefits for thousands of people over her 22 year career.

Ms. Merritt received her Bachelor of Science degree in Classical Studies from Villanova University in 1993 and her law degree (cum laude) from Widener Law School in 1999. While in law school Ms. Merritt, was awarded the Alexander Scarcione Scholarship in Criminal Procedure and awards in secured transactions and criminal procedure for outstanding performance. She began her career at a real state and construction firm but quickly transition to Social Security Disability.

Ms. Merritt resides in Folsom, CA close to family and friends. She is involved in Fat Kitty City, a rescue organization for cats, and fosters cats as needed. Aside from her family and friends, Ms. Merritt is committed to healthy living, seeking out and cultivating friendships, traveling, and spending time hiking in beautiful northern California.
