Jacquelyn "Jacquie" Thomas is a seasoned civil
litigator with a diverse background spanning both large and small law firm
environments. Opting to establish her own practice, Jacquie sought to provide
her clients with a more direct and flexible approach to legal representation.
Originally from Michigan, Jacquie moved to Tallahassee, Florida, to attend Florida State University in 2006. There, she distinguished
herself, graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in 2010. Following
a brief hiatus to gain practical experience, Jacquie pursued her legal
education at Florida State University College of Law, where she graduated magna
cum laude with a juris doctor degree in 2014. During law
school, Jacquie exhibited exceptional leadership skills as the editor-in-chief
of the FSU Law Review.
Post-graduation, Jacquie served as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Harvey E.
Schlesinger in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida in Jacksonville, Florida.
She moved to Atlanta in 2017 and has been practicing civil litigation in Georgia since that time. In 2024, Jacquie and her family moved to Marietta, Georgia.
In her practice, Jacquie represents a diverse clientele, including both individuals to business entities. She boasts extensive experience
across various civil litigation arenas, navigating both state and federal court
systems with proficiency. Her current areas of concentration include commercial litigation, contracts, personal and business torts, family,
property, and estate planning.
Beyond her role as a litigator, Jacquie serves as a trusted
advisor to her clients, offering strategic counsel on potential and ongoing
litigation risks and demands. Her wealth of knowledge and practical experience
enables her to approach each case with a blend of creativity and pragmatism,
tailored to address the unique challenges presented.
Jacquie's professional achievements have been duly recognized,
notably earning her placement in the esteemed Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in
America for Commercial Litigation in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Committed to professional development and community
engagement, Jacquie has been a member of the Atlanta
Bar Association since 2018. She has also lent
