Biography

Jake was born and raised in McComb, Mississippi, where he graduated high school at Parklane Academy in 2011. He was accepted into the Croft Institute at the University of Mississippi, where his studies concentrated on global economics, business, Europe, and the French language. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in 2015, Jake moved to Jackson and began working with a local law firm in hopes of pursuing a career as an attorney. He earned his Juris Doctor from the Mississippi College School of Law in May of 2020 and passed the Mississippi Bar Exam two months later.

Jake is licensed to practice law in Mississippi, and he is a member of the Young Lawyers Division of the Mississippi Bar Association as well as the Mississippi Association for Justice. During law school, he served as a clerk at the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance. Jake joined Richard Schwartz & Associates Injury Lawyers in January of 2021, and his practice focuses on personal injury claims and premises liability. He is a skilled problem-solver with a passion for pursuing justice on behalf of his clients.

Outside of the office, Jake can be found on the golf course, in the woods hunting, or at a tailgate in Oxford. He is an avid sportsman and a table tennis phenom. Jake and his fiancée, Dr. Margaret Cosnahan, have a home in Belhaven, where they are active members of the community.
