He began his career as a prosecutor in the Galveston County District Attorney's Office, where he spent five years trying over 40 cases ranging from DWI to capital murder. After leaving the DA's office, Brett transitioned to criminal defense, ultimately becoming the lead supervising attorney for another prominent criminal defense firm before joining Michael and Associates.
