Biography

Attorney Jim Henke is an Associate at Nuzzo & Roberts, LLC. He graduated from the State University of New York at Geneseo in 2003 with a Bachelor's Degree in English. He received his Juris Doctor from the University Of Connecticut School Of Law in 2007. While in law school, Attorney Henke completed internships with the Office of Legal Counsel to the Governor of the State of Connecticut, the United States Postal Service Northeast Law Department, the Connecticut Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, the Connecticut Chief State's Attorney's Office: Asset Forfeiture Bureau, the City of Hartford Corporation Counsel's Office, the Honorable Linda Pearce Prestley, and the Connecticut Attorney General's Environment Department. Before joining the firm, Attorney Henke performed a one year judicial clerkship as a research clerk for the judges of the Connecticut Superior Court.

Attorney Henke was admitted to the Connecticut State Bar in 2007, the New York State Bar in 2008 and the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut, 2013. His practice is focused on defending employers and insurers in Informal, Pre-Formal, and Formal Hearings before the Connecticut Workers' Compensation Commission throughout the state. Attorney Henke also specializes in workers' compensation lien subrogation and recovery in the Connecticut Superior Court pursuant to Connecticut General Statutes § 31-293.

Attorney Henke is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and its Workers' Compensation section, the New Haven County Bar Association, New Haven Young Lawyers and is a past member of the American Inns of Court, Oliver Ellsworth Chapter.
